The Biergarten

300920. Let me say right now, that I am going to change to format of my blog as of today, with the latest writings or ramblings being at the top of the page with older stuff at the bottom. It took a while to realise this but it will definitely improve your reading 🙂

Well, after having created a “Hello Page”, now is the time to start “blogging.” It feels a little strange to feel I am a blogger now. Whooppee! And, it feels good to be here!
There are so many things to learn in doing this. Firstly a new piece of software and finding my way around. I imagine that some of you folks are already experts in doing this.
I am sitting in a Biergarten, probably common in most European languages (to drink outside) at a table watching the white cumulus clouds and in the distance I can hear the gentle roll of thunder. How long before the storm….., but I continue to write. Now the thunder is getting stronger and the sky darker. I want to go for a walk, but now I am not so sure as the walk means being in the woods and lightning ….. so I decide to put on my raincoat and do a short walk – about 25 mins. The rain comes and the trees are blowing in the wind. I feel a little excitement. Then I am in the open countryside and the storm has just passed me by. Phew.
I take a couple of pictures of the black clouds in the distance and go back to the car.
Now I am back at the car and going to do shopping for this weekend and go eat. Soup from the freezer with extra potatoes to thicken it and some bread and cheese. I really love this kind of meal.
OK, folks, that’s it for today. I don’t know how often I will write but hopefully it won’t be too long!
Bye for now and hopefully hear from you in the comments section.

220720. The sun is out, it’s about 26 degrees and I am back in the Biergarten with a Schwarze (or a dark beer.) This is because I usually have a fruit juice and water but the beer is colder and today is hot – well, for me anyway. There are quite a few people here today, yesterday was quieter. I prefer quiet as I often come out here to do some work. Maybe I should go somewhere else when I want peace and quiet. Thing about being here is that it isn’t too far from home, about 15 minute drive and I enjoy the countryside here and I can walk without problems. And here I am back again. Another Johannisbeeresaft schorle or a red currant cordial, just juice and water. I recently found out that the dark beer I used to drink now gives me wind and doesn’t like my stomach or should that be that my stomach doesn’t like it ????? A conundrum. What do you reckon?
But now it is 1540 and it is getting busy and noisy, children running around and screaming, as there is a Kinderspielplatz (children’s play area) here too. Good for business. So will look for a picture to put in here so you can see where I spend an hour or so every day, at the moment.
